How PRF Beard Treatment works

PRF, Platelet Rich Fibrin, treatments are incredibly effective yet very simple to implement. The process is very straightforward and involves very little discomfort.

Once you have been made comfortable, we’ll take a small sample of blood, we’ll then put the blood in a medical centrifuge to isolate the blood plasma we want.
We separate the blood plasma as we want the white blood cells along with stem cells, fibrin and platelets within it. We concentrate this solution and prepare it for use.
The solution is carefully injected in the areas where there is thinning with microneedling the entire area.
Once complete, we apply a red LED light to the treated area to help reduce redness and the risk of infection.

What you need to know about beard growth treatment

The beard growth treatment requires no surgery, no chemicals, no pharmaceuticals and no recovery. It’s 100% natural and uses your own blood as the solution.

PRF beard treatment is completely safe, but there are a few things you should know.
If you are currently taking any medication that impacts the blood, like blood thinners for example, you should consult your physician before undergoing treatment.
Tell us about any medication you’re taking before your first treatment too, just to be sure.
After your beard growth treatment, we recommend minimizing exposure to sunlight for a couple of days to let the skin recover.
We also recommend using a natural moisturizer to help protect and hydrate the skin.
We can provide full details on effective aftercare at your first appointment.
It is exceptionally rare to experience any side effects of PRF beard treatment but it is possible. If you experience prolonged redness or tingling at the treatment site, it’s nothing to worry about and will pass in time.

Advanced PRF treatments

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) hair loss treatments are the second generation of the highly regarded Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments. It uses the same principles to treat the similar conditions but is considered to be more effective.

PRF treatments use extracts of your own blood to help promote the production of cells to help tackle hair loss and other hair loss-related conditions. As it uses your own blood, there is negligible risk of negative outcomes and there can be a very high chance of success. The treatment is also fast, with minimal pain and requires little or no recovery time!

PRF hair loss treatment can be effective for helping women and men experiencing:

  • Genetic hair loss
  • Androgenetic alopecia
  • Stress-related hair loss
  • Female hair loss and thinning
  • Male hair loss and thinning
  • Hormonal related hair loss
  • Menopause related hair loss
  • Age related hair loss
  • Alopecia related hair loss

PRF Hair Treatment for Women

It is a misconception that only men experience hair loss. Around 40% of women experience hair thinning or loss by age 50. Women can experience genetic hair loss, hormonal hair loss and stress-related hair loss. PRF can be an effective treatment for female hair loss and thinning.

The earlier you seek treatment, the more effective it can be. Appointments last between 45-60 minutes to an hour, are relatively painless, require no surgery or invasive procedures and minimal recovery time.
PRF is a 100% autologous biomaterial, it can accelerate wound healing and tissue regeneration, can increase stimulation of osteogenesis and new blood vessel formation. PRF can contain approximately 10 times more platelet concentration than normal blood, therefore having great healing and regenerative properties.

PRF Hair Treatment for Men

PRF hair treatments can address the majority of conditions experienced by men. That includes male pattern baldness, stress-related hair loss, hair thinning and chronic conditions that result in hair loss.

PRF is considered the second generation to PRP. With PRF there is no anticoagulant in the tube that the blood is collected, the plasma actually forms a platelet and white blood cell-rich fibrin scaffold once injected into the treatment area. The fibrin clot can allow for a much slower and longer release of the growth factors and cytokines – in other words, PRF treatment can continue to release more growth factors over time, even after your treatment is completed.
The treatment is fast, with minimal pain and requires no recovery time. It’s also non-invasive, non-surgical and requires no pharmaceuticals!

Your PRF Hair Loss Treatment Appointment

Appointments should last between 45-60 minutes

How does all this work in practice? What does a PRF hair loss treatment look and feel like?

  • We withdraw a small amount of blood, using equipment specifically designed for PRF treatments.
  • We immediately place that blood into a centrifuge designed for PRF treatments to separate the different elements of blood.
  • PRF is then carefully injected into the areas of concerns where there is hair loss and thinning. These fine injections are in conjunction with micro-needling the scalp where there is hair loss and thinning.
  • We also provide optional LED Light therapy for 10 minutes which can increase blood flow to scalp, increase nutrient delivered to hair follicles, reduce the chances of inflammation and help promote healing.

Before the treatment

  • The treatment does not require any special preparations.
  • The procedure will normally be preceded by an in-depth medical interview.
  • Abstain from consuming alcoholic beverages the day before and after the treatment.
  • Refrain from alcohol consumption for 1 week prior to the procedure

  • Following the procedure, it’s important to avoid washing your hair for at least 24 hours.
  • For 4 days, do not expose yourself to direct sunlight, or warm-up treatments.
  • It is recommended to use SPF 30-50 sunscreen creams
  • As with most of our cosmetic treatments, we recommend that you avoid vigorous exercise for 7 days following your procedure, we give up using the sauna, swimming pool, gyms, hot baths, solariums, and other places of a large group of people
  • Chemical peels and strong cosmetic products should not be used in the area where the treatment will be performed for a few days after the treatment

PRF Skin Rejuvenation

As we age, our skin produces less elastin and collagen and is more prone to wrinkles, fine lines and other common skin conditions. PRF skin rejuvenation can help reverse these signs of ageing.

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) skin rejuvenation treatments use the healing power of your own blood to help regenerate your skin.

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) skin treatment is considered the second generation of PRP skin treatments and theoretically improves on it in every way. PRF uses a higher concentration of growth factors and includes stem cells, fibrin and white blood cells. PRF can contain up to 10 times more platelet concentration than normal blood.

PRF skin treatments improve upon PRP in some fundamental ways.

  • No anticoagulant or additives! By using specific tubes for PRF there is no anticoagulant in the tube that the blood is collected, the plasma actually forms a platelet and white blood cell-rich fibrin scaffold once injected into the treatment area. The fibrin clot can allow for a much slower and longer release of the growth factors and cytokines – in other words, PRF treatment can continue to release more growth factors in your skin over time, even after your treatment is completed.
  • PRF can also stimulate faster healing than PRP.
  • The blood is spun using a specific centrifuge at a lower speed so that the layers of the blood don’t separate as distinctly. It also leaves essential elements within the plasma, such as fibrin and white blood cells we know are good for healing and stem cells that are the body’s self-repair system.

PRF treatments also use a higher concentration of platelets, up to 10x normal blood rather than up to 5x of PRP. This can increase the beneficial effects of those growth factors within the blood.

PRF skin treatments can be effective at treating:

  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Damaged skin
  • Acne scarring
  • Hyper-pigmentation
  • Sagging and discoloured skin

Your PRF Skin Treatment Appointment

Your PRF skin treatment appointment should take 60 minutes and require minimal recovery time.

You will fill out a medical history form during your free skin consultation where you will detail any medication you’re taking that may determine your suitability for the PRF skin treatment.

PRF skin treatments Process:

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is made by spinning a blood sample in a centrifuge to separate the PRF from other blood components. PRF contains white blood cells, growth factors, and fibrinogen.

Steps for making PRF

  1. Draw blood from a vein without anticoagulants
  2. Place the blood in a centrifuge
  3. Spin the blood at a high speed for a set amount of time
  4. Separate the PRF from the other blood components
  5. Extract the PRF and inject it into the desired area
  6. PRF is then carefully injected into the areas of concern. These fine injections are in conjunction with micro-needling.
  7. We also provide complimentary LED light  therapy after every PRF skin treatment.  LED light can help promote collagen production, increase blood flow throughout the skin, reduce the inflammation and help accelerate the healing process.

Once complete, you will most likely have some redness which will subside over the next few days. We strongly suggest to do your best to avoid the sun for 3-5 days, depending on how sensitive your skin is to the PRF skin treatment.

After your PRF skin rejuvenation treatment there should be minimal side effects. You can expect redness with maybe some minimal bruising. During your free skin consultation and after your treatment, we will explain to you in detail what precautions you need to take to make sure your skin heals properly.

PRF skin treatments

PRF skin treatments are the evolution of the exceptionally popular PRP skin treatments. It builds on PRP in a couple of fundamental ways to improve results and deliver even more healing potential. PRF skin treatments are considered to have up to 10x concentration of platelets when compared to PRP and can continue to release growth factors over time, even after your treatment has been completed.

PRF, platelet-rich fibrin, uses the 100% natural healing power of your own blood to help encourage the production of collagen and elastin and the regeneration of skin cells.

This can result in firmer, smoother, younger-looking skin, that helps maintain a youthful body. It can also help treat a range of common conditions such as wrinkles, fine lines, skin discolouration, sagging skin and the many signs of ageing.

PRF skin treatments are:

  • Non-surgical and non-invasive
  • Can contain up to 10x concentration of platelets when compared to PRP
  • Can continue to release growth factors over time, even after treatment
  • Completely natural as they use your own blood as the treatment
  • Fast and effective with appointments lasing just 45 minutes
  • An alternative to other cosmetic treatments
  • Affordable and accessible to both men and women

How do PRF skin treatments work?

PRF skin treatments work by utilising the healing power of your own blood in targeted areas.

The process is simple and painless and will be over in just 45-60 minutes.

We begin by taking a small sample of blood, like a blood test. We refine the blood and separate it into the PRF solution.

The solution contains platelets, fibrin, white blood cells and other growth factors that can help regenerate skin and make it look younger.

The PRF solution is applied using tiny injections under the eyes and microneedling the entire face with your own PRF solution.

Once complete, we can apply a red LED light to help minimise redness and reduce inflammation.

After a platelet rich fibrin (PRF) facial, you should avoid touching the treated area, strenuous activity, and direct sunlight. You should also avoid exfoliants and retinoids for a week.

Avoid

  • Touching or massaging the treated area for 24 hours
  • Strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours
  • Hot baths, saunas, and steam rooms for 3 days
  • Sun exposure for 3–5 days
  • Exfoliating products like scrubs, retinol, and AHA’s

Care for the skin

  • Cleanse with a gentle cleanser and tepid water for 72 hours
  • Apply a serum or moisturizer twice a day for 3–5 days
  • Apply hyaluronic acid to help with dryness
  • Apply mineral-based SPF of 30 or higher to protect your skin
  • Apply ice packs to help diminish redness and swelling

Pain management

  • Take Tylenol (acetaminophen) as directed per package recommendations if you are having pain or sorenessOther considerations
  • Avoid wearing makeup, lotions, or sunscreen for a minimum of 8 hours

Avoid laying on your face for long periods of time.
